CS'Associados and PLMJ advise on the sale of Autoestradas do Douro Litoral

CS'Associados and PLMJ advised Strategic Value Partners (SVP) and a group of minority investors on the sale of Autoestradas do Douro Litoral (AEDL), which operates the Douro Litoral motorway concession, to Igneo Infrastructure Partners.

SVP acquired AEDL from Brisa in 2021 and the concession was granted to AEDL in 2007 for a period of 27 years.

The CS'Associados team was led by Bernardo Abreu Mota, corporate M&A partner, and Duarte Brito de Goes, banking and finance partner. The team also included Francisco Soares de Sousa, Gonçalo Limbert Couto and Mar Machado da Graça.

The PLMJ team was led by Diogo Perestrelo, partner and co-head of the corporate M&A practice, supported by Alexander Ehlert, Elsa Pizarro Pardal and Carolina Inverno Branco from the corporate M&A team and Maria Zagallo, partner in the public law practice.

The transaction is subject to customary grantor and regulatory approvals and is expected to close later this year.
