Managing Partner PLMJ gives "extremely positive" assessment of trip to China

16/03/2011 , Agência Lusa
On the final leg of his trip to China, Luís Sáragga Leal has given an "extremely positive" assessment of the promotion of investment opportunities in Portugal and in Portuguese-speaking countries and he believes there will be more Chinese investment in the Portuguese-speaking world before the end of the year. The PLMJ managing partner spoke with a number of Chinese investors and is returning to Lisbon in the certainty that they are interested in Portuguese projects like the Port of Sines, as well as in State companies that have been earmarked for privatisation such as TAP, ANA, Galp, REN, EDP, the insurance arm of Caixa Geral de Depósitos or BPN itself. "There is palpable interest in the privatisation programme the State is planning to launch  but we are still waiting to see when and under what conditions the companies will be privatised", Sáragga Leal told the press agency Lusa at the end of a visit to China.
