Diogo Duarte Campos and Pedro Melo interviewed by SOL on Public-Private Partnerships

Diogo Duarte Campos, an associate in PLMJ’s public law practice area and Pedro Melo, a partner in the same area, were interviewed by the newspaper SOL in relation to the launch of the book “Public-Private Partnerships: how to choose the private partner” – Volume I of the PLMJ Collection and written by Diogo Duarte Campos.

These specialists explained that in the current climate, considering the amounts involved and the state of public finances, there are no options for the financing of large projects other that the PPP structure. They pointed out that using the traditional method of public procurement would require the works to be paid for while they were being carried out PPP and the State would need to have available the whole of the cost of the investment.
