Manuel Lopes Rocha, Pedro Barosa and Carolina Leão D’ Oliveira speak at the debate on Digital Protection v. Legal Protection at the PLMJ Auditorium

PLMJ hosts a debate on Digital Protection v. Legal Protection - Pre and Post Incident which brings together a number of specialists in this area. PLMJ lawyers Manuel Lopes Rocha, a partner from the firm’s TMT practice who specialises in intellectual property and Pedro Barosa, an associate from the litigation practice, are speakers at the debate at the PLMJ Auditorium on 11 December between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The meeting is organised in partnership with the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Portugal and will address topics such as internal threats and new media, with a special focus on social networks and security of information. The event will also analyse the main challenges in establishing a policy that is adequate in terms of security of information. All these challenges will be addressed by PLMJ’s lawyers and Manuel Lopes Rocha and Carolina Leão D’ Oliveira, a trainee lawyer from PLMJ’s TMT practice, will also spotlight the applicable legislation and the case law of the Portuguese courts. Also contributing to the analysis of these issues will be David Marques of the DRC and Rogério Bravo of the Judicial Police.
