The Troika’s exit from Portugal is looming and with it come a range of opinions on what the programme for Portugal should be. PLMJ partner, Nuno Morais Sarmento, argues that Portugal’s exit should be based on a cautious programme because “we will be in a more secure position if we have a back-up plan for a sudden focus on Portuguese debt markets”.
