Pedro Vale Gonçalves joins PLMJ as of counsel to the intellectual property practice

PLMJ is pleased to welcome Pedro Vale Gonçalves as of counsel to its intellectual property practice. With extensive experience in pharmaceuticals, the new of counsel is joining the intellectual property, competition and life sciences practices. 
Pedro’s career spans almost 25 years. He was legal director and a board member at Pfizer Portugal and frequently speaks at conferences in Portugal and abroad, addressing topics such as intellectual property, arbitration, international disputes, corporate law and commercial strategy. He has also written many articles for specialist reviews and books. 
                                                          
In 2009 he was named “General Counsel of the Year” and in 2010 he made the shortlist for the “International Law Office European Counsel Awards”.

Pedro is also vice-president of the Institute of Corporate Lawyers and a member of the European Association of Corporate Lawyers, vice-president of the board of the general meeting of Special Olympics Portugal and a curator of the Liga Foundation.

Pedro’s arrival as of counsel reflects PLMJ’s strategy of proximity to the business world and its belief that the know-how he has gained will add value for our clients.
