TTA has been shortlisted for "African Law Firm of the Year" in The African Legal Awards, organised by Legal Week

14/10/2015

TTA, the PLMJ International Legal Network member firm Mozambique, has once again been shortlisted in the category “African Law Firm of the Year – Small Practice” of the African Legal Awards, organised by leading British publication Legal Week. TTA is the only law firm from a network covering Portuguese-speaking African countries to have been shortlisted for this international award.

Tomás Timbane, the partner who heads TTA explains that “being on the shortlist is important not only for TTA, but also for the legal profession in Mozambique and Africa. It demonstrates the quality and skills of our lawyers and the success of our partnership with PLMJ, Portugal’s leading law firm. PLMJ’s focus on Portuguese-speaking countries is a strategic one and I would like to highlight the work done with our colleagues from the PLMJ Mozambique Desk and with all the other lawyers at PLMJ and the other members of PLMJ International Legal Network, in Angola, China, Macau, Switzerland and the United Kingdom”.

Legal Week has been hosting the Africa Legal Awards since 2012 as a way to highlight and recognise African law firms that are examples of excellence and innovation in the legal industry. Africa has been at the top of the international agenda when it comes to movements involving law firms and because of the important role they play in major investment and infrastructure deals.

The award winners will be announced at a ceremony in Johannesburg on Friday, 16 October.
