PLMJ National Partners network, which is made up of firms in the Azores, Coimbra, Guimarães and Viseu, held a meeting to debate business law topics in the Azores on 10 May. The debate addressed both public and private law issues, including the Public Manager Statute, the impact of the “Law of Commitments” in State corporate holdings, the liability of members of management bodies and also financing and recapitalisation tools for companies. The topics were presented by partners from the firms of the PLMJ National Partners network including Víctor Borges do Ponte, a partner from the law firm Borges do Ponte, Linhares Dias & Associados, based in the Azores, Francisco Gama Lobo Xavier, a partner at the law firm Gama Lobo Xavier, Luís Teixeira e Melo e Associados, from Guimarães, Luís Loureiro, a partner at the law firm Luís Loureiro, João Gomes & Associados, from Viseu, and Manuel Rebanda, a partner at the law firm Manuel Rebanda, Pereira Monteiro & Associados, from Coimbra. The PLMJ partner responsible for coordinating the PLMJ National Partners network – who also heads PLMJ’s Oporto office, Tomás Pessanha was present and made a presentation on presentation on the conservation of capital: limits to bear in mind in times of crisis.
The conference took place at Hotel Marina Atlântico, in Ponta Delgada, in the Azores.
