The Privatisation Programme for the period 2019-2022 was recently published in the official gazette, Diário da República. The programme is known as “PROPRIV” and was approved by Presidential Decree no. 250/19 of 5 August.
PROPRIV establishes a list of 195 companies, including public companies and Angolan law companies in which the State has a stake, whether direct or indirect – in particular through Sonangol E.P. – in their share capital. The companies come from the following sectors: agro-industry, civil construction, education, energy, finance, real estate, industry, fisheries, mineral and petroleum resources, health, transport, telecommunications and information technology, and tourism.
