Joint Executive Decree no. 22/15 of 23 January 2015, which came into force on the same date, imposes regulatory measures on the import market and the network for distribution and sale of food products and non-food products where internal supply guarantees more than 60% of national consumption. In doing so, it sets maximum import quotas for the year 2015.
With this Decree, the Angolan Executive is seeking to encourage domestic production, balance the country’s balance of trade and slow down the growing volume of imports.
