Ana Carolina Dall’Agnol an associate from PLMJ Arbitration, and Ana Coimbra Trigo, a trainee lawyer from PLMJ Tax, are taking part as arbitrators in the 24th Edition of the Willem C. Vis Moot, which is the world’s largest commercial arbitration competition, currently being held in Vienna.
More than 350 universities, including three from Portugal (Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Universidade Católica de Lisboa and the University of Lisbon) are taking part in the competition. The fictitious case at the heart of the competition is subject to the rules of the CAM-CCBC, a Brazilian arbitration institutional, and this is the first time that rules originally drafted in Portuguese have been used in this way.
The Willem C. Vis Moot lasts for a week features parallel events such as lectures on international arbitration and related topics, as well as receptions and networking opportunities.
