Best Lawyers recognises PLMJ as the Portuguese law firm with most 'Lawyers of the Year'

The US directory Best Lawyers officially announced its new rankings today. These rankings provide annual recognition of the best lawyers from around the world and this recognition is based entirely on peer review.

With a total of eight lawyers, PLMJ has more 'Lawyers of the Year than any other Portuguese firm. They are:

• Diogo Perestrelo, a partner from the PLMJ Corporate/M&A and Private Equity team, recognised in the category of Private Equity Law
• João Medeiros, the partner who heads the PLMJ Criminal Litigation team, recognised in the category of Criminal Defense
• José Miguel Júdice, the partner who heads the PLMJ Arbitration team, recognised in the category of International Arbitration;
• Luis Pais Antunes, PLMJ’s managing partner, recognised in the category of Media Law
• Luis Sáragga Leal, the partner who co-heads the PLMJ International Projects team, recognised in the category of Mergers and Acquisitions Law
• Manuel Santos Vítor, the partner who heads the PLMJ M&A and Energy and Natural Resources team’s, recognised in the category of Natural Resources Law
• Nuno Líbano Monteiro, the partner who heads the PLMJ Litigation team, recognised in the category of Insolvency and Reorganization Law
• Manuel Cavaleiro Brandão, the partner who heads the PLMJ Employment and Labour team, recognised in the category of Litigation

At the same time, PLMJ was also named Law Firm of the Year and has a total of 54 lawyers named in all categories, which is eight more than last year:
