PLMJ's Capital Markets team is at the top of the Chambers' recommendations table (Band 1). The department headed by PLMJ partner André Figueiredo is well-deserving of the recognition of the prestigious directory which has awarded this classification as the result of "a considerable amount of praise from clients who recommend PLMJ for varied and sophisticated capital markets mandates".
Besides André Figueiredo, the main partners in this team are Bruno Ferreira, Gonçalo dos Reis Martins and Raquel Azevedo. According to Chambers, this team has "a strong reputation for handling capital markets issues arising from securitisation operations".
The other areas analysed by Chambers Global maintained their high rankings: Banking and Finance in Band 2, Corporate M&A in Band 1, Dispute Resolution in Band 1, and Projects in Band 2.
In the individual results, 25 PLMJ lawyers were recognised and they include: Duarte Schmidt Lino in Corporate M&A, Gonçalo dos Reis Martins in Banking & Finance and Inês Pinto da Costa in Projects.
Of further note are four new additions to the rankings of lawyers: partners Rita Samoreno Gomes, Pedro Caetano Nunes and Carla Góis Coelho, who have joined the Dispute Resolution ranking, and partner João Marques Mendes, who has joined the Projects ranking.
In the analysis of international partnerships PLMJ Colab Angola - RVA Advogados and TTA maintained their places in the rankings as did the PLMJ Desks.
In Portugal's rankings for Corporate/M&A - Foreign Expertise, PLMJ continues to be the firm with the most countries ranked: Angola, Brazil, France and Mozambique.
