Elective Affinities. A chef and a psychiatrist on stage at PLMJ auditorium

31/03/2025

In 2025, PLMJ and the PLMJ Foundation are organising the cycle of thinkcasts 'Elective Affinities' at the Auditorium. These are conversations between two personalities who share an affinity and common ground that may not be immediately obvious.

The first meeting is a good case of the improbable: chef José Avillez with psychoanalyst Filipe Sá.

Let's talk about mistakes and successes, let's talk about how who we are influences our place in the world and makes us choose one path over another. How our characteristics come together to form a whole. Like ingredients in a recipe.

Throughout 2025, we continue with unlikely duos, but always, always, very rich in exchange. Follow all this on the PLMJ and PLMJ Foundation websites.

The cycle of thinkcasts Elective Affinities is the third in the programme organised by the PLMJ and the PLMJ Foundation, after the conversations with a historian (Rui Ramos) and a philosopher (Paulo Tunhas) and 'My Book of Disquiet', which brought various personalities to our auditorium (António Feijó, Maria Filomena Molder, Miguelinho Loureiro, among others).

The sessions are open to the community at large, subject to availability. Confirmations here.
