Inês Pinto da Costa and João Marques Mendes write on the Green Certificates market

Inês Pinto da Costa and João Marques Mendes have co-authored an opinion article on Green Certificates where they note that, ten years after the publication of the first law in Portugal on the mechanism for issuing and managing guarantees of origin (GOs), in March of this year, the “green light” was given to issue these certificates in Portugal. This is good news for both energy producers and suppliers because, until now, suppliers had to seek these certificates in other European countries, mainly Spain.
