Luís Pais Antunes comments on changes to unemployment benefits

In speaking to the newspaper Diário Económico, Luís Pais Antunes, the partner in charge of PLMJ’s IT & telecommunications team, stressed that the measures to provide an incentive to get back to work are important but the proposed reduction in salaries that the unemployed will be forced to accept will not solve the problem.

In his opinion, strengthening the obligation to do voluntary work should be explored in an attempt to keep the unemployed closer to the job market.
