MOZAMBIQUE PARTNERSHIP – PLMJ Foundation opens “25 Frames por Segundo” in Mozambique

On 10 September in Maputo the PLMJ Foundation opened the video art exhibition "25 Frames per Second in Mozambique: videos from the PLMJ Foundation Collection and from Mozambican artists". The opening was well-attended by the public and also counted on the presence of João Corte Real, Minister at the Portuguese Embassy, Professor Óscar Monteiro, representative of the MGA&PLMJ institutional partnership and the PLMJ Foundation, the artist Jorge Dias and João Graça, Vice-President of AVIDEOARTE - Mozambican Video-Arte Association.

The exhibition, promoted by the PLMJ Foundation in partnership with the Mozambican Video-Art Association (AVIDEOARTE) which will be at the Instituto Camões until 24 September, presents 31 pieces from the PLMJ Foundation’s collection and 23 from Mozambican artists. The exhibition also includes three video exhibits from three Mozambican artists: "O Trono do Arcanjo" by Gemuce, "Crise Aritmética: os que aprenderam a somar não sabem dividir" by Jorge Dias and "Xiquilene" by Mário Macilau.
