Nuno Ferreira Morgado, a partner from PLMJ's employment and labour practice, has spoken to the newspaper Público about the possibility of employees deciding to continue to receive their salary in "twelfths" (12 salaries paid in each month of the calendar year, as opposed to the traditional system of 14 payments). Employees had to communicate their decision to their employer by the end of yesterday. The PLMJ partner explains that the Decree-Law in question “is not sufficient to extend the application of the system of payment of holiday and Christmas bonuses in twelfths".
