The Brazilian law firm Tozinni Freire, which is part of PLMJ’s international network of joint ventures, has advised the Phaunos Fund, the Brazilian arm of Mata Mineira Empreendimentos Florestais Ltda., in the operation for the acquisition of acquisition Suzano Papel e Celulose S.A.’s forestry assets.
The total value of the deal was R$333.000.000,00 (€ €774.442.000,00) and involved the purchase of 50 thousand hectares of land in Minas Gerais, 13 thousand hectares of which are planted with eucalyptus.
The plantation Turmalina Holdings, LLC was also involved in the purchase of the forestry assets.
