PLMJ Foundation wins the International Corporate Collection 2024 award at ARCOmadrid

The PLMJ Foundation has just been received the "International Corporate Collection 2024" award from ARCOmadrid. The "A" Awards for Collecting are presented during the ARCOmadrid International Contemporary Art Fair.

Created in 1997, the aim of these awards is to reward and encourage collecting, and to recognise the artistic value of supporting the dissemination of contemporary art. Over the years, the ARCO Foundation has honoured public and private collections, museums, foundations and national and international collectors, and the prizes are awarded by the ARCO Foundation's Board of Trustees and Advisory Board.

Eduardo Nogueira Pinto, Executive Chairman of the PLMJ Foundation: "It is a source of enormous pride and satisfaction for the PLMJ Foundation to be included in the illustrious list of ARCO Foundation award winners. It is the seventh Portuguese collection to receive an award that has been in existence for 27 years. But above all, it is a great sign of recognition for the work we have done in supporting artists and art in the Portuguese language. We therefore share this award, on the one hand, with the artists represented in the PLMJ Foundation's collection, the artists who give the Foundation its meaning and substance. But it is also an award that we would like to share with the PLMJ team at the PLMJ Foundation, in particular as a thank you to the partners who decided, 23 years ago, to create the Foundation, going beyond what was strictly related to its first reason for existence, the practice of law, and committing themselves to the patronage of the artistic and cultural community. It was this vision on the part of the PLMJ partners that allowed us to get this far, by understanding the responsibility of contributing to the community and beginning a path of support for artistic production that continues to this day."
