PLMJ advised GreenYellow, a French company specialising in decentralised photovoltaic production and energy efficiency projects, controlled by the private equity firm Ardian, on the acquisition of Grow Energy Management, a Portuguese company specialising in decentralised photovoltaic energy and one of the main players in Portugal and Poland. With this acquisition, GreenYellow acquires a portfolio of approximately 120 MWp of distributed photovoltaic projects in these countries in the industrial and commercial distribution sectors.
The operation was led by Diogo Perestrelo, partner and co-head of the Corporate M&A practice, and included the team's managing associate Nuno Serrão Faria, senior associate Ana Nunes Teixeira and associate David Cuba Topete.
GreenYellow, which currently operates in around 20 countries across 4 continents, plans to invest around €150 million in the development of more than 100 MWp of distributed solar projects in Portugal and Poland over the next 3 years.
