PLMJ advises Italian firm SIT on the purchase of Portuguese company Janz

PLMJ advised SIT, a multinational listed on the Italian stock exchange, in the purchase of the Portuguese company Janz - Contagem e Gestão de Fluídos. SIT specialises in intelligent meters for heating and gas, and with this acquisition the multinational intends to extend its operations to the water sector. The PLMJ team was led by Diogo Perestrelo, the partner who heads the Corporate M&A practice. The other members of the team were the lawyers Nuno Marques, a senior associate in the Corporate M&A practice, Pedro Menezes Cardoso , an associate in the Corporate M&A and Private Equity practices, and Raquel Freitas, a managing associate in the Public Law practice. The deal is strategic for SIT as it will enable the further development of MeterSit, the group's smart metering division, bringing the know-how acquired and recognised by the market to the water sector.
