PLMJ advises ReGa ENERGY on round of investment

PLMJ advised ReGa ENERGY, an independent Portuguese retailer of renewable gas, on a EUR 17 million investment round subscribed by SWEN CAPITAL PARTNERS (through its SWIFT 2 Fund, specialising in renewable gases) and Elyse Energy, a platform dedicated to accelerating green hydrogen and synthetic fuels projects.

The transaction was led by Duarte Schmidt Lino, partner and co-head of the Corporate M&A practice. He was assisted by managing associate Alexander Ehlert and senior associate Ana Nunes Teixeira. Contributions alaso cam from the trainee lawyers Lourenço Noronha e Andrade, Luísa Eckenroth Moreira and Rita Dinis Carvalha. PLMJ's Tax team also assisted with the operation, in the persons of partner Isaque Ramos, and João Rodrigues Duarte, senior associate.

The investment is intended to accelerate the development of ReGa ENERGY's biomethane and green hydrogen activity in Portugal and to finance its pipeline of hydrogen and biomethane projects for the coming years, amounting to more than one billion euros.
