PLMJ advises Verdane on a new round of investment

PLMJ advised Verdane on the completion of a Series A investment round in Portuguese energy software company Cleanwatts. Verdane's investment, which could reach up to €25 million, was made by acquiring shareholdings and subscribing to new capital, and it is intended to boost the energy community market.

Verdane is a European private equity fund that specialises in investing in technology companies with a focus on energy and sustainability.

The transaction was led by Duarte Schmidt Lino, partner and co-head of the Corporate M&A practice, and the team included the lawyers Nuno Serrão Faria and João Trindade da Silva.
