PLMJ advised the coordinating banks, Millennium bcp and CaixaBI, and the placement banks, on a public subscription for Greenvolt bonds for a total value of up to €100 million and the admission to trading of the bonds on Euronext Lisbon. The name of the bonds is "GREENVOLT GREENBONDS 2022-2027". Greenvolt is one of Europe's largest companies in the large-scale solar, wind and biomass projects segment. Through this offering, it intends to finance or refinance renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, as well as other projects in the renewable energy sector, as set out in the Green Bond Framework, available on Greenvolt's website.
For this transaction PLMJ brought together a multidisciplinary team led by Raquel Azevedo, a partner in the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice, and João Marques Mendes, a partner in the Energy practice. The team also included Rita Sacadura Orvalho, a senior consultant in the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice, Dinis Tracana, a managing associate in the Tax practice, Rita Romão, a senior associate in the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice, and Rui Vasconcelos Pinto, an associate in the Energy practice.
In July of this year, PLMJ also advised on Greenvolt's capital increase operation of around €100 million, in which the transaction's demand values were around 1.87 times greater than its supply.
