PLMJ advises banks on Greenvolt debt issue

PLMJ advised the coordinating banks, Millennium bcp and CaixaBI, and the placement banks on the issue of Greenvolt bonds for a total amount of €100 million, called "Obrigações Verdes Greenvolt 2024-2029", which was fully subscribed.

The PLMJ team responsible for this operation was led by Raquel Azevedo, partner in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practice, and included lawyers from the same practice, senior consultant Rita Sacadura Orvalho and associate André Gama Loureiro. They were also supported by members of the Tax and Energy practices.

Greenvolt is one of Europe's largest companies in the field of large-scale solar, wind and biomass projects. Through this offering, it intends to finance or refinance renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, as well as other renewable energy projects, as set out in the Green Bond Framework, available on the Greenvolt website.

In October 2022, PLMJ was also involved in the first public offering of Greenvolt bonds (Obrigações Verdes Greenvolt 2022-2027).
