PLMJ advises banks on Greenvolt's capital increase

PLMJ advised the banking syndicate coordinated by BNP Paribas and Santander and which includes CaixaBank, MedioBanca, JB Capital Markets and Caixa BI on its capital increase of around €100 million for Greenvolt. This was done through a public offer for the sale of subscription rights for 17,792,576 new shares and the respective admission to trading on a regulated market.

PLMJ's team was led by André Figueiredo, head partner and partner Raquel Azevedo, both from the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practice. They were also supported by João Marques Mendes, partner and co-head of the Energy practice and by Rita Sacadura Orvalho, senior counsel in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practice and Rita Romão, a senior associate in the same practice.

The team also included Rui Vasconcelos Pinto, an associate in the Public Law practice , Joana Marques dos Reis, a senior associate in the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice , João Terrinha, associate in the same practice, and Diogo Madeira Canário, a trainee lawyer.

Greenvolt is one of the largest companies in Europe in the segment of large scale solar and wind power projects development and the demand exceeded the offer of shares by approximately 1.87, confirming the high interest of investors in Greenvolt's expansion project.
