14/03/2011
The partnership between PLMJ and DSL Lawyers, the leading law firm in Macau, is strengthened with the signing of an accord to extend the cooperation between the two firms to the countries of the CPLP - the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries. At the signing of the accord will be PLMJ managing partner, Luís Sáragga Leal and Carlos Duque Simões representing DSL. The ceremony took place on 15 March at 6.15 p.m. in Grand Hall 8 of the Torre de Macau Convention Centre. Luís Sáragga Leal, founder and managing partner of PLMJ planned this trip to China with the aim of formalising and strengthening the international partnerships with Dacheng Law Offices, the leading Chinese law firm with 30 offices spread across the country and the other important Far East markets. Over a number of days, Sáragga Leal has had contact with investors and large Chinese corporate groups, some that already have investments in China and others with a great interest in investing in our country and also in Angola and Mozambique. All these efforts are part of a concerted effort to promote PLMJ International Legal Network, with a particular focus on links with Portuguese-speaking countries. Before moving on to Macau, this roadshow visited the cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
