Rita Aleixo Gregório joined the firm in 2020 as a senior consultant in the Competition practice. With more than 15 years of professional experience, she has focused on advising both public and private clients on competition law matters, including state aid, cartel cases, abuse of dominant position and vertical agreements, merger control and compliance programmes. Prior to joining PLMJ, she worked in the Restrictive Practices Unit of the Portuguese Competition Authority.
Joana Brandão joined PLMJ 13 years ago and has progressed from managing associate to partner in the Public Law practice. With more than 18 years of experience, she is particularly involved in infrastructure and concession projects, including real estate and construction. Her clients include domestic and foreign investors, whom she has advised on the implementation of their projects, with a focus on the negotiation, drafting and implementation of EPC and O&M contracts.
Renata Valenti is a partner in PLMJ Colab Angola - RVA Advogados, PLMJ's partner office in Angola, and was previously a senior counsel at PLMJ. She is now the firm's international partner. Bruno Ferreira, managing partner of PLMJ: "The moment when a law firm appoints new partners is always special because it means celebrating the past and the present and preparing for the future. It is the moment when we express our gratitude for the enormous effort, commitment and dedication of those we invite to join the partnership. It is also the moment when we tell them that they are the future of the firm in the constant cycle of evolution and renewal that we cultivate at PLMJ. And I, along with the firm's Board of Directors, could not be happier to see the future of PLMJ in Rita Aleixo Gregório, Joana Brandão and Renata Valenti. In their respective fields, they are points of reference in terms of Portuguese and international talent, team leaders and ethical role models. This is exactly what we expect from our partners".
