01/02/2007

The inauguration ceremony of the A.M. Pereira/PLMJ Prize, an initiative to reward finalists and recent law graduates, took place on 29 January at the PLMJ Auditorium in Lisbon.

The initiative coincided with the opening of PLMJ's 40th anniversary celebrations and was attended by the firm's four founding partners - António Maria Pereira, Luís Sáragga Leal, Francisco Oliveira Martins and José Miguel Júdice - who recalled the history of PLMJ's creation and development.

In this first edition, the A.M. Pereira/PLMJ Prize has the support of Siemens Portugal and a jury of recognised merit. The members of the jury are Osório de Castro, former President of the Portuguese Bar Association, António Pinto Monteiro, Professor at the Law Faculty of Coimbra, Prosecutor Agostinho Homem, António Gaspar, Judge-Counsellor of the Supreme Court, and lawyers Luís Sáragga Leal, Diogo Leite de Campos and José Luís da Cruz Vilaça.
