PLMJ on the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards shortlist in the category “Most Innovative firm in Private Wealth”

Innovation in a tax planning operation involving Portugal and the United States has put PLMJ, for the first time, on the shortlist for the “Most Innovative firm in Private Wealth” award. PLMJ joins the best firms in Europe advising private clients. The operation in question was handled PLMJ tax specialist Nuno da Cunha Barnabé, and the work done made it possible to ensure tax neutrality in Portugal and the other countries involved of a transfer, upon the death of a Portuguese tax resident, to a philanthropic institute resident in the US, of a segregated financial portfolio without the need for it to be liquidated.
