Pedro Metello de Nápoles, a partner from PLMJ Arbitration and vice-president of the Arbitration Committee of ICC Portugal, was a speaker on 14 June in São Paulo, Brazil at the 2016 ICC Brazilian Arbitration Day.
The PLMJ partner spoke at the session entitled "Exploring the new report of the ICC Arbitration and ADR Committee: "Decisions on Costs in International Arbitration".
The fifth edition of the ICC's Brazilian Arbitration Day, organised by the ICC International Court of Arbitration and ICC Brazil, brought together leading specialists from around the world who were seeking a broader vision of the most recent developments in international and domestic arbitration. The topics discussed by the various panels included: (i) arbitration in a time of crisis; (ii) the last report of the ICC Arbitration Committee on decisions relating to costs; (iii) an update on the use of dispute boards and (iv) the characteristics of Brazilian case law in ICC arbitration case is heard in that country.
