Vasco de Ataíde Marques, the partner who heads PLMJ’s German Desk and the firm’s office in the Algarve, has written an opinion article on trials with witnesses who are not resident in Portugal. The article “Justice based on good faith” appeared in the 11 February issue of The Portugal News.
In the article, the PLMJ partner talks about the increasingly common practice of witnesses giving evidence by Skype and he says that "if this trend continues, I am convinced that, in only a few years, we will see judicial disputes being resolved within a relatively short timeframe, with all this means for improvements to life and business in Portugal".
