PLMJ presents "Finance Focus Sessions: DMIF II" – part of the Business Breakfasts Cycle

PLMJ has organised a set of sessions (in Portuguese) that will take place on 3, 10, 17 and 24 of February. The sessions will include concise presentations of the main changes and innovations introduced by the DMIF II / RMIF, and the presentations will be followed by debate on their impact and the challenges they raise.

The presentations will be made by lawyers from the PLMJ Banking and Finance team and the debates will be moderated by Hugo Rosa Ferreira, the partner who heads PLMJ Banking and Finance, André Figueiredo, the partner who heads PLMJ Capital Markets, and Bruno Ferreira, a partner from PLMJ Banking and Finance.

The sessions, which are by invitation only, will take place at PLMJ’s offices and begin at 9:15 AM. The topics to be analysed will be:

- Changes to the evaluation of adequacy and to the execution only system
- Inducements and prohibition in portfolio management and independent consultancy
- Product governance
- Safeguarding clients’ assets
- Conflicts of interest
- Systematic internalisation
- Organised negotiation / OTF
- Obligation to negotiate shares and derivatives and algorithmic negotiation
- Duties of conduct and general organisation for retail banking products and services
- Selling and advising on structured deposits
