PLMJ is a sponsor of the seminar "The reforms of employment legislation in Portugal and Europe". This seminar is an initiative of the Competitiveness Forum and will take place on 20 March between 16h and 19h30 at the Hotel Intercontinental, Lisbon.
PLMJ managing partner, Luis Pais Antunes, will be a member of the panel discussing "The reforms of employment legislation in Europe: the Portuguese, German and French cases".
According to the organisers, the seminar "will address the hot topics of the day that are of importance to companies. These include the principal bases of a legal framework for employment that leads to growth, employment and productivity". He added that "we will also look at the performance of employment legislation in Europe, specifically with the cases of Portugal, Germany and France, and we will focus on the 2012 Troika reforms , the recently adopted “Hartz” plans of Gerhard Schroeder and the plans of Macron."
Finally, there will be "an update on the situation of social dialogue in Portugal and the preparation of recommendations to adopt reforms consistent with the international framework of which Portugal is part."
