PLMJ lawyers Carla Góis Coelho, a partner in the Dispute Resolution practice and Maria Zagallo, a partner in the Public Law practice were recognised as being among the best 40 lawyers on the Iberian Peninsula in the categories of Lawyer of the Year in Litigation and Public Law, respectively. In yet another edition of the prestigious Iberian Lawyer Forty Under 40 awards, PLMJ also picked up the award for best team in the European and Competition area led by partner Ricardo Oliveira.
The awards were announced at a ceremony in Madrid and are a source of great pride for PLMJ.
Carla Góis Coelho, received the award for "Lawyer of the Year Litigation": "I am very happy with this award from Iberian Lawyer, above all because I know that it reflects not only my work but especially that of the entire PLMJ dispute resolution team, a very talented and dedicated team that outdoes itself on a daily basis. A special thanks to all the under-40 (and under-30!) lawyers in our team, from whom we learn and who inspire us every day.
Maria Zagallo, received the award for "Lawyer of the Year Public Law": "It is an honour to receive this award. I I do not see it as merely as individual distinction but rather as recognition and affirmation of the skill and quality of PLMJ's public law team".
Ricardo Oliveira, the partner who heads PLMJ's EU and Competition practice and whose team won the "Team of the Year EU & Competition" award: "This award is recognition of our capacity for permanent renewal and the sustained investment we have made in new generations of highly talented lawyers".
Iberian Lawyer's Forty under 40 awards honour the best lawyers under the age of 40 on the Iberian Peninsula and also highlight the best teams operating in this market by practice area.
