The pro bono legal support provided by PLMJ made the news in an article on social responsibility published by the weekly newspaper Sol. The newspaper drew attention to the fact that, between 2009 and 2010, there was an increase of 50% in the number of clients to which PLMJ provides this type of legal advice and an increase of 20% in the number of hours that the firm’s lawyers dedicate to pro bone clients. The article mentions that, in general terms, pro bone legal work grew by 20% last year and the increase should be even greater this year. PLMJ partner Manuela Tavares Morais and senior associate Maria João Ribeiro Mata head PLMJ’s pro bon commission.
