Competition and litigation specialists Ricardo Oliveira, Rita Samoreno Gomes and Martim Valente published an article in Competition Law Insight that gives an overview of recent developments in both the public and private enforcement of competition law in Portugal. 

The article sets out the recent enforcement priorities of the Portuguese Competition Authority, with a particular emphasis on the application of competition law in labour markets and the PCA’s numerous hub and spoke decisions.  The emergence of private enforcement in Portugal – and in particular, complex class actions – is also discussed.
