"Competition is digital too" is the title of the opinion article by Rita Aleixo Gregório, a senior counsel in PLMJ's European Law and Competition practice area. in the article, Rita warns about the impact of the explosion of e-commerce as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The article raises questions about the transparency and the competition challenges of the digital economy, among others: "while it is undeniable that e-commerce has several advantages for its users, which include increased transparency, a wider range of goods and services and the widening of geographical markets on the one hand, and lower operating costs and a wider range of clients on the other, it is also undeniable that it brings with it increased risks and difficulties in the light of competition rules".
