In seven questions, the experts from the Public Law team explain what this mechanism to combat climate change, coordinated with the European Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS), is. It involves the EU imposing a carbon price on the import of certain goods from third countries, thereby creating an incentive for these countries to take appropriate measures to comply with the Paris Agreement.
