PLMJ partner Tiago Duarte has commented on possible changes to the Constitution set out in the government’s programme. Duarte, who works in PLMJ’s public law practice, believes that “Everything has changed, but the logic of the Constitution is to be something that does not change when everything else does. We need to maintain the pillars of the system because people are more comfortable when these pillars do not change. It a time of crisis, it is good to maintain some references. At the moment, it makes sense to me to keep the Constitution as it is.”
