About Inês
Inês is an of counsel in the Intellectual Property practice. With around 5 years' experience, she advises clients from a wide range of sectors on trade marks, designs and patents.
She focuses on the prosecution of intellectual property rights. Specialising in registration procedures, particularly in Portugal, the European Union and Africa, she defines and implements effective strategies to protect intellectual property. She is also experienced in the internationalisation of intellectual property rights and the drafting of intellectual property contracts.
Inês holds a law degree from the University of Lisbon, a Master's degree in judicial procedural law from the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon, and an advanced postgraduate degree in arbitration law from the Centre for Private Law Research of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
Inês has been an Official Industrial Property Agent since 2019, and a European Trademark and Design Agent since 2020. She has also been a lawyer since 2022.
Before joining PLMJ, she was an Official Industrial Property Agent at Inventa.
Inês is a member of INTA - the International Trademark Association.
