About Ana Teresa

Ana Teresa is a senior lawyer in the tax practice. With more than 15 years of experience, she is dedicated to resolving disputes with the Tax and Customs Authority and Social Security. She has represented both Portuguese and international companies in major cases before national tax courts, the Court of Justice of the European Union and arbitral tribunals.

In addition to her experience in complex litigation, which includes the criminal field in relation to tax and social security offences, she also has experience in advising clients in pre-litigation scenarios, in particular in dealing with tax inspection procedures.

She has worked with clients in the energy, construction, industrial and entertainment sectors, advising on corporate tax, VAT, property tax and social security.

Ana Teresa holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a post-graduate qualification in Tax Management from ISCTE. She regularly attends training programmes organised by the ECJ.

She worked at PLMJ from 2012 to 2017 and returned in 2023 after working as a senior associate at DLA PIPER Portugal.
