We advise Portuguese and international companies from the traditional IT sectors on software licensing, IT consulting, selling hardware, electronic identification, software development, domain names, e-commerce, outsourcing, consumer electronics, and cloud services.
We also work in the most innovative areas of technology. Our team has acted in multiple projects relating to biotechnology, mobility, fintech and the Internet of things. We also represent clients in areas of emerging technology, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics and automation. In addition, the team provides support and mentoring to Portuguese and international entrepreneurs and start-ups that operate in these areas.
We also have extensive experience in dealing with transactions in the areas of technology and telecommunications. The team several telecoms and media operators in regulatory matters. Since the complete liberalisation of the telecoms market, we have also represented alternative operators in regulatory matters, including litigation against the regulators of the sector. In the area of media, our team represents content producers and media outlets in regulatory and contractual matters.
The areas of privacy and cybersecurity have grown exponentially in recent years. This has increased the work we do in audits and in helping companies adapt to the new legislation. As part of this work, we have created integrated compliance programmes from scratch. The team supports companies that have suffered security incidents, providing assistance with strategy issues and risk mitigation. We also provide a Data Protection Officer service on an outsourcing basis.
