Andreia is a partner in the Public Law practice. With 20 years' experience, she specialises in town and country planning and environmental law, in particular environmental impact assessment procedures and the use of water resources, as well as administrative litigation. Her clients include Portuguese and international developers, real estate investment funds, private equity funds and banks.
Andreia has extensive experience in advising on the management and development of pools of diversified real estate assets, in particular for housing, tourism, industry, logistics and infrastructure. She advises on projects from the moment of the decision to acquire land/shareholdings, through the process of verifying / defining the assumptions that underpin the business plans, the processes of structuring and implementing development strategies (construction, regeneration, rehabilitation, etc.) and the planning dynamics.
Andreia has completed postgraduate courses in administrative and tax justice, and in spatial planning and environmental law, at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, and in administrative procedure at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She is frequently a speaker and moderator at various conferences on subjects in her area of specialisation.
Andreia was a trainee and began her career as a lawyer at PLMJ. In 2020, she returned to the firm after working as an external adviser on urban planning and land use matters for Hudson Advisors, L.P. and the Novo Banco Real Estate Group.
